How to Turn a Single Homemade Candy into an Extra Special Gift of Encouragement
Insert a piece of homemade candy (such as the No-Bake Cookie Truffle) into a small food-safe cellophane bag. Using a zip tie or curling ribbon, attach a homemade, hole-punched tag with a relevant to recipient Bible verse to close up the bag. Truffles in photo were given to a friend and her husband who is currently going through cancer treatments. The verses included encouraging verses on healing and comfort. If you have friends (or strangers you know of) going through something in their life, a simple blessing of encouragement around a handmade treat can have the ability to help others not feel so alone in their struggle. Just as Job's friends couldn't change his suffering, they shared his grief by sitting in the ashes with him (Job 2:11-13). Get creative and be inspired to give comfort in simple ways to those that are hurting.
